Japanese laurel - (Aucuba japonica)

The genus Aucuba comprises evergreen, dioecious, shade-loving species that form dense, rounded shrubs. Under favorable conditions, they typically reach a height of 2 to 3 meters. These species easily adapt to various soil types, provided they are grown in areas that are not overly sunny.

Aucuba japonica is a medium-sized shrub that blooms in April. It prefers fresh soil and shadier locations, thriving even in full shade. It can be used as a solitary specimen, in group plantings, or for hedges.
