Cherry laurel - (Prunus laurocerasus)

An evergreen species with a bushy or tree-like habit. The leaves are dark green and glossy, while the white, fragrant flowers are produced in spring.

It thrives in all exposures, including shaded areas. It copes well with cold temperatures and coastal salty air.

It is widely used for medium to tall hedges.
