Austrian Pine – Pinus nigra and Scots Pine – Pinus sylvestris
Did you know that Italian growing conditions make a difference?
The combination of high light intensity, abundant solar radiation and a higher sun angle in Central Italy helps Austrian Pine and Scots Pine develop a regular shape, dense foliage and strong secondary branching, especially in the lower part of the plant.
In favourable comparisons with northern European locations, annual solar radiation in Central Italy can reach levels approaching twice those recorded further north. The higher sun angle also allows more light to reach the lower branches, helping the plants develop a fuller and more naturally conical shape.
We produce more than 2,000 pine trees per year, all supplied root-balled and wire-basketed, in the following sizes:
- Height (cm): 125–150 – 150–175 – 175–200 – 200–250 – 250–300
- Girth (cm): 14–16 – 16–18 – 18–20 – 20–25
