Cypress sizes, potted and open-field cultivation

Sizes of Our Cypress Production

Up to a height of approximately 2 meters, we grow the cypress in pots, changing the container for the plants annually.

The available cypress sizes across the different varieties are:

• Height 100/125 cm – 12 liter container
• H. 125/150 cm – 12 liter container
• H. 150/175 cm – 15 liter container
• H. 175/200 cm – 18 liter container

Above 175/200 cm, cultivation involves growing in open fields for 3 to 5 years, followed by root-balling and potting to root for at least 6 months.

The available cypress sizes across the different varieties are:

• Height 175/200 cm – 25 liter container
• H. 200/250 cm – 45/25 liter container
• H. 250/300 cm – 60/45 liter container
• H. 300/350 cm – 80 liter container
• H. 350/400 cm – 100 liter container

Above 4 meters, cultivation involves growing mature specimens in open fields—which were themselves previously transplanted at 250 cm—for at least 4 to 5 years, followed by subsequent root-balling and potting to root for at least one growing season.

The available sizes for the Sancorey and Obelisco varieties are:

• Height 450/550 cm – 150 liter container
• Height 550/600 cm – 230 liter container

Note: The Totem variety is cultivated up to the 300/350 cm size size.
